Chief Executive OfficerSteve Sydness joined Endurance in September of 1999. In addition to overseeing the Company’s day-to-day operations, he is responsible for determining its long-term strategy and directing future growth. Steve has been instrumental in building the Endurance management team and securing its source of capital. Before joining Endurance, Steve served as an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Great Plains Software, where he spent 12 years helping to grow the company’s workforce from 100 employees to 1,100, and its annual revenues from $6 million to $150 million. Steve played a key role in leading Great Plains through a successful IPO, obtaining venture funding and directing expansion into global markets. In 1992, Steve took a leave of absence to run for the United States Senate. He holds a B.A. in business administration and history from Principia College, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Hari Ravichandran
President and FounderHari Ravichandran founded Endurance in 1997 and currently serves as President of the company directing various parts of the business including engineering, network operations, finance, corporate development and investor management. Hari plays an integral role in the company's overall business development and strategic planning. Prior to founding Endurance, Hari worked at Sun Microsystems, where he helped design microprocessors, routers, massively parallel computers, operating systems and various Internet architecture protocols. His algorithm and protocol designs have led him to author five USPTO-approved patents and several technical publications. Hari also sits on the board of several technology companies and serves as an advisor and investor to various private equity funds. Hari has a B.S.(Honors) in Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University, graduate education in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School (Focus: Entrepreneurial Management). Hari is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and Managing Partner of the GT Charitable Trust Foundation. Joe Bardenheier
Senior Vice President, Corporate DevelopmentJoe Bardenheier's duties focus on the management of mergers and acquisitions, investment banking relationships and a variety of strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Endurance in 2000, Joe was Co-Founder, President and CEO of The Gavin Group, an international apparel company that was sold to a publicly traded firm in 1992. Joe was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Vanguard Sailboats, the largest manufacturer of sailboats in the world, where he was involved in the acquisition of Sunfish/Laser, its largest competitor. Joe was a Senior Consultant with Ernst and Young LLP and most recently Co-Founder of WebOnTap, which was acquired by Endurance in 2000. Joe holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Brian Brock
Vice President, Network OperationsBrian Brock is responsible for managing Endurance’s hosting infrastructure and data centers. Brian joined the Company in April of 2007 as the Senior Director of Network Operations, and was promoted to Vice President less than a year later. While still heavily involved in the day-to-day operations, Brian’s focus is to strategically identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Brian has been involved in supporting data centers, as well as building and managing technical teams for over 20 years with leaders such as BBN/Genuity and Guardent/Verisign. David Bryson
Vice President, General CounselDavid Bryson joined the Endurance team in 2000. He is responsible for all legal aspects of the Endurance business, and regularly manages issues and strategy related to operational, corporate, funding and acquisition issues. David has extensive experience handling mergers and acquisitions, and advising legal aspects of Web hosting. David spent a number of years as General Counsel of major business groups at BankBoston, and is the former Chief Regulatory Counsel of FleetBoston. David remains actively engaged in leadership positions with a number of professional and charitable organizations. David is a graduate of St. Anselm College and Suffolk University Law School. Blake Cunneen
Vice President, Corporate DevelopmentBlake Cunneen joined the team in November of 2008. He plays an integral role in the management of Endurance’s mergers and acquisitions. Blake is known for his ability to identify potential sellers, and execute on aquisition agreements. Prior to working at Endurance, Blake has held various positions in commercial lending and investment banking. Most recently, he was employed at Piper Jaffray, where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Blake holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s School of Business. Gary Engel
Senior Vice President, Customer Service and SalesGary Engel is responsible for managing the Company’s customer support function. He has been building and managing customer service operations for nearly 20 years, with a focus on delivering support for online businesses. Gary is accountable for ensuring outstanding customer support for Endurance’s growing customer base, as well as maintaining a smooth transition and ongoing support for all acquired customers. Prior to joining Endurance in the spring of 2002, Gary was a founding member of eSupportNow, providing multi-channel customer care and data analysis. Gary sets strategy and direction for a team of over 200 members throughout four global locations, delivering outstanding service to some of the industry’s leading e-commerce sites. Gary also served on the integration team at NSTAR, defining the strategies for the merger of Boston Edison and Commonwealth Energy. Gary holds his B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mitch Haber
Vice President, Product ManagementMitch Haber joined Endurance in June of 2000 as the Director of Strategic Partnering. In 2003, Mitch moved into the role of Director of Corporate Development, where he managed Endurance’s relationships with acquired companies and facilitated the migration process. Mitch now serves as the Vice President of Product Management, he oversees the suite of Applications and Services, and develops strategic relationships with partners. Under Mitch’s leadership, Product revenue grew 600% in 2008. Before joining Endurance, Mitch served as Director of Vendor Relations at MicroAge Canada, a fortune 1000 computer wholesaler, and was responsible for the management of distribution relationships with companies such as Cisco, Intel, Compaq and Sony. Mitch earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Christina Lane
Chief Financial OfficerChristina Lane joined the team in September of 2003, assuming responsibility for all financial and accounting requirements. She plays a vital part of Endurance’s long-term strategic planning and directs the financial integration of all mergers and acquisitions. Before joining the Company, she spent 13 years with Kewill Systems PLC, a British Software Company that experienced tremendous growth through mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. and Europe. Christina played a key role in Kewill’s acquisition and integration activities, along with having prime responsibility for the groups’ reporting financial activities. Christina has also worked for Air Europe, Storno UK, and 3M. Christina is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and attended the University of York in Great Britain. Jean McCarthy
Vice President, MarketingAs Vice President of Marketing, Jean McCarthy is responsible for marketing strategies related to customer acquisition, migrations, customer experience, website management and value-added products. Prior to joining the Endurance team, Jean was the Marketing Communications Manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She formerly held marketing positions at Delta Dental and Prudential Financial Services. Jean earned a B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.S. in Marketing Communications from Boston University. Eric Rayleonard
Director, Customer ExperienceEric Rayleonard joined the Endurance team in 2001, and is responsible for ensuring a constantly improving customer experience for Endurance customers. With over a decade of Web hosting experience, Eric has played a vital role in multiple departments at Endurance. He built the Reseller Program to be one of the largest in the hosting marketplace, with more than 13,000 active resellers. Prior to Endurance, Eric was a Product Manager at RCN Communications, a leader in residential and commercial voice, data and video communications. Eric received a B.S in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing from Nichols College. |
